Plant Care & Growing Tips

Proper Hoya Krinkle 8 care ensures your plant thrives and potentially blooms. This wax plant indoor prefers bright, indirect light. Place it near an east or west-facing window, or a few feet away from a south-facing window. Direct, harsh afternoon sun can scorch its leaves, so avoid prolonged exposure. It can tolerate some morning sun. When it comes to watering, allow the top 1-2 inches of soil to dry out completely between waterings. Hoyas are somewhat succulent and prefer to be on the drier side; overwatering is a common cause of issues like root rot. Reduce watering frequency in winter.

The ideal soil for your Hoya Krinkle 8 live plant is a well-draining mix. A blend of peat, perlite, and orchid bark provides the aeration and drainage these plants need. Good drainage is crucial to prevent soggy roots. This plant thrives in warm, humid environments, ideally between 65-85°F (18-29°C). Protect it from cold drafts, especially during winter months. It prefers humidity levels of 50% or higher; you can increase humidity by misting occasionally, placing it near a humidifier, or using a pebble tray with water. During its active growing season (spring and summer), feed your Hoya carnosa Krinkle 8 monthly with a diluted balanced liquid fertilizer. Avoid fertilizing in fall and winter when the plant’s growth slows. Regular inspection for pests like mealybugs and spider mites is also part of good ripple Hoya care. Prompt treatment can prevent infestations from becoming severe.
